Bespoke begins before the drawing
Clients arrive with floor plans, 3D views, references, a single requirement or an entire home to furnish. Meenu and her team first understand how the room will be used, what the client is drawn to and what the architecture can comfortably hold.
This early conversation establishes proportion, comfort and character before decorative detail. It also prevents a beautiful reference from being copied into a space where its scale or function would not work.
One design, resolved completely
Length, depth, height, structure, upholstery, surface, hardware and finish are considered together. A sofa may need to respond to a window line; a dining table must allow enough movement around it; a bed and bedside tables need to sit correctly against electrical points and wall panelling.
Detailed drawings give the client, design team and workshop one agreed reference. Materials and finishes are then selected with the design, use and maintenance of the piece in mind.
Made by a connected workshop
The work moves through carpentry, upholstery, polishing, metalwork and finishing within Minnoli’s production system in Kolkata. Many members of the team have spent a significant part of their working lives with the company. Their shared experience helps resolve the small construction and finishing decisions that distinguish a considered piece from a merely customised one.
