Minnoli
Furniture Manufacturer · Kolkata Workshop

A furniture house with making at its centre.

Minnoli’s work does not end when a drawing is approved. The design team and workshop remain connected through production, finishing, review, packing and installation.

That continuity allows decisions to be resolved where furniture is actually made, by people who understand both the drawing and the material in front of them.

The Minnoli approach

One workshop, several specialist skills

More than 100 craftsmen and specialists contribute across carpentry, upholstery, polishing, metalwork and finishing. Many have spent a significant part of their working lives with Minnoli, carrying practical knowledge from one department to the next.

The workshop produces residential furniture including sofas, chairs, tables, beds, wardrobes, bars, storage and fitted elements, as well as selected premium commercial furniture and clubhouse requirements.

Drawings keep design and production aligned

Production drawings document dimensions, construction, materials, finishes, hardware and assembly. They provide a common reference for the client, design team, workshop and installation team.

Questions that arise during making are reviewed against the design as a whole. This is especially important where upholstery meets timber, stone meets metal or furniture must align with a finished site.

Quality control happens throughout

Structure, proportion and mechanisms are considered during production rather than inspected only at the end. Surface preparation, stitching, polish, hardware movement and alignment are reviewed at the relevant stages, followed by a final assessment before packing.

The drawing establishes the intention. The workshop gives it structure, touch and permanence.
